The responsAbility Base Of the Pyramid (BOP) fund aims to deliver both social and financial returns through equity investments in businesses and microfinance institutions (MFIs) in developing countries. The fund invests mainly through regional funds. Approximately 30 to 40 percent is invested in the microfinance sector, and 60 to 70 percent is invested directly in small enterprises.
