FRANKFURT FORUM ON DEVELOPMENT FINANCE 2008
FEBRUARY 21-22, 2008, FRANKFURT SCHOOL OF FINANCE AND MANAGEMENT, FRANKFURT AM MAIN, GERMANY
The 2008 forum, organized by KfW Development Bank and Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, will focus on the topic of responsible development finance. As the operations of development finance institutions grow progressively similar to those of commercial banks, the theme of social responsibility, that is, developmental aspects that relate to ethical standards and/or public goods, has also gained increasing importance in financial decisions.
The two-day forum will host speakers from both finance and business sectors to provide different perspectives on the merging confluence between progressive microfinance institutions (MFIs) on the one side and responsible commercial banks and investors on the other. The event agenda will be built upon three main pillars: Delivering Products Responsibly, Mobilizing Capital Responsibly, and Creating Responsible Financial Systems.
The cost of attend is EUR 200 (USD 292) per day, and includes participation in all sessions, lunch, coffee, and snacks. Online and fax registration is available here. For more information, visit the forum website, send an email to responsible-finance@frankfurt-forum.org, or call +49 69 154 008 638.
