Summary of Event: The event will feature representatives of the financial industry and faculty from Columbia Business School who will discuss the challenges of using market-based solutions to tackle poverty. The panel will review the findings of “From Blueprint to Scale,” a report that discusses the hurdles faced by entrepreneurs seeking to reduce poverty through inclusive business practices. The report was prepared by Monitor Inclusive Markets, an India-based company that targets low-income individuals.
Background on Organizer: The Social Enterprise Program at Columbia Business School brings together representatives from private, non-profit, public and academic arenas to collaborate and discuss on issues of social impact.
