When? September 29, 2009
Where? Charlotte, NC
The colloquium is sponsored by the Francis Center for Servant Leadership at Pfeiffer University as part of the university’s Campus Week of Dialogue. It will bring together academics, practitioners and faith based communities. The goal is to explore the principles, methods, opportunities and best practices in microfinance and their link with the philosophy of servant leadership.
We welcome both theoretical and empirical papers from scholars and practitioners in all areas of microfinance and servant leadership, as well as proposals for other presentations and best practices. The range of permissible topics will be broadly interpreted. We encourage submissions on all types of microfinance issues including, but are not limited to, MFIs and securitization, microfinance and sustainable development, the role of technology in microfinance, and microfinance’s effect on a wide range of social and economic development activities. Selections will be made by a committee of Pfeiffer faculty and administrators.
