Event Description: This class, split into four sessions (one every week for four weeks) focuses on giving students an overview of the key issues involved in the design, management, and evaluation of microfinance programs that target low-income micro-entrepreneurs and households. It intends to teach practical skills and critical thinking about the major debates in the industry for those considering a career in microfinance, or those interested in bottom-of-the-pyramid approaches to doing business with dual social and financial goals, i.e. doing well while doing good.
