Compassion Uganda which serves nearly 42,000 children will work with Opportunity International, a microfinance service provider, to offer qualified caregivers loans and lines of credit. Under this new joint project, Compassion International will fund loans totaling $180,000 through the Uganda for Development Agency (UGAFODE), a Christian microbusiness organization associated with Opportunity International Network. The new program will provide loans to 1,000 families in the Bushenyi and Rukundiri districts.
