Luxmint ADA (Luxembourg Microbanking Intermediary Scheme Appui au Developpement Autonome) is a microfinance investment vehicle, which mobilizes capital for microfinance institutions (MFIs).
Description:
Luxmint (Luxembourg Microbanking Intermediary Scheme) is an investment program created by ADA (Appui au Developpement Autonome) that provides financial services to microfinance institutions (MFIs) that are just beginning to seek investors. MFIs must have existed for at least three years, have at least 1000 clients, have a portfolio at risk of no more than 10 percent, and must break even operationally to be eligible. ADA has partnered with Luxmint to monitor MFIs during the period of the loan/guarantee and to provide technical assistance. Luxmint was founded with a contribution from the Ministry of Co-operation of Luxembourg.

MicroCredit Enterprises is a microfinance investment vehicle, which mobilizes capital for microfinance institutions (MFIs).
Description:
MicroCredit Enterprises is a non-profit organization based in Sacramento, California (United States), that leverages private capital to promote micro-enterprises throughout the developing world by issuing loans and guarantees to microfinance institutions (MFIs). To be eligible for a loan, an MFI must serve at least 5,000 borrowers or have a minimum USD 1 million gross loan portfolio, maintain a portfolio-at-risk (outstanding balance of all loans with payments in arrears beyond 30 days) below 10 percent, and be operationally self-sufficient. MicroCredit Enterprises has a very low operating budget because the senior management team, with the exception of the Senior Vice President for Portfolio Management, serve the organization on a pro bono basis.
