Its main promoters and shareholders are the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) – the Nepalese central bank, 13 commercial banks, 5 regional rural development banks, the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation of Nepal, and Nirdhan Utthan Bank Ltd (a microfinance bank).
