CGAP (Consultative Group to Assist the Poor), a US-based policy and research center dedicated to facilitating the provision of financial access to poor people, recently opened its annual photo contest and seeks entries of original images that capture the impact of microfinance.Participants may submit up to 20 images.
The judges, who will include professional photographers and microfinance leaders, will select first, second and third place winners as well as special mentions from a pool of 25 finalists. Entries will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit.
The prize packages will include gift certificates for photography equipment ranging from USD 50 to USD 2,000.
All submissions must be submitted online and received by CGAP before midnight eastern US time on September 3, 2012.
