Mexico’s NanoPay is targeting its new Aliada Digital Card at women in Mexico. The card, which leverages the network of US-based Mastercard, offers lines of credit as well as a range of free legal and medical services. The medical services include online access to physical and mental health professionals as well as an ambulance service. The lines of credit range up to MXN 75,000 (USD 3,700) with a limit of MXN 20,000 (USD 1,000) for those with no credit history.
NanoPay, which offers apps in both Colombia and Mexico, is headquartered in Mexico City. The goal of the firm is to boost financial inclusion through digital solutions. Nanopay is a member of Mexico’s Oplay Group, which has estimated annual revenue of USD 800,000.
Headquartered in the US state of New York, Mastercard connects consumers, financial institutions, merchants and governments in approximately 210 countries and territories. For the year 2021, the firm reported net revenue of USD 8.7 billion, ending the period with total assets of USD 38 billion.
