Microcredit Foundation Prizma, a microfinance institution located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has reported to MicroCapital that it received loans equivalent to USD 2.7 million in local currency from Nova Banka, a private Bosnian bank, and BOR Bank, also of Bosnia. Nova Banka, which has BAM 900 million (USD 620 million) in assets, loaned Prizma the equivalent of BAM 2 million (USD 1.4 million). BOR Bank loaned Prizma the equivalent of BAM 1.9 million (USD 1.3 million). No financial information is available for BOR bank.
As of November 2011, Prizma reports to MicroCapital that it has 70,000 active borrowers and has loaned a total of BAM 530 million (USD 362 million). It operates 50 branch offices Bosnia and Herzegovina and has a staff of 250.
