Microinsurance Network, a member-based organization that works to advance insurance in poor countries, has opened membership registration for 2012. The network offers its members a platform for information sharing and stakeholder coordination to promote the development and distribution of insurance services for low-income populations. Members also receive invitations to exclusive events such as the June Member Meeting and the member event at the International Microinsurance Conference that will be held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, November 6 to November 8, 2012, access to the member-only forum on the network’s website and industry news via its newsletter.
Individual membership requires a fee of EUR 200 (approximately USD 263). The fees for institutional members range from EUR 750 (USD 988) to EUR 2,500 (USD 3,291), depending on the size of the organization.

About The Microinsurance Network:
Originally established in 2002 as the CGAP (Consultative Group to Assist the Poor) Working Group on Microinsurance, the Microinsurance Network was spun off as an independent organization in 2009. Based in Luxembourg, the membership organization aims to promote the development of insurance products for low-income populations by providing a platform for information sharing and stakeholder coordination. As of February 2012, it reports 64 institutional and 32 individual members.
