Summary of event: The two day event will be geared specifically towards social and commercial investors and focus on an array of topics including the role of intermediaries in a microfinance deal, the value of ratings in today’s economy, new opportunities for microfinance professionals and new investment strategies for pensions, foundations and endowments. A pre-conference workshop on “Microfinance 101: The Terms, The Players, The Basic Strategies for Investing in Microfinance” will focus on basic investment strategies, common terms and phrases, microfinance players and roles they play and how to get going on a microfinance deal.
