Summary of Events:

C5 launched the Global Microfinance Achievement Awards to recognize work that helps to optimize business and social returns in the microfinance sector. Entries must consist of products, projects and initiatives that have been introduced, implemented or completed by March 2011. Entries must be submitted by June 20, 2011, and nominees will be shortlisted by June 30, 2011. The awards will take place on July 6, 2011 at C5’s Microfinance Investment Summit which takes place from July 5 to July 8. Financial institutions, private equity investors, fund managers, microfinance investment vehicles, microfinance institutions (MFIs), NGOs and other microfinance stakeholders are invited to submit their entries for awards in the following six categories:

-Best social performance

-Best performing microfinance institution (MFI)

-Most innovative microfinance product

-Most innovative use of technology

-Highest customer orientation

-Leader of the year

Cost of Microfinance Investment Summit:

-Depending on the days of attendance, prices range between GBP 999* (USD 1,650) and GBP 2,400* (USD 3,850) when registering through June 3.
