Summary of Event: The results of a recent survey on Microfinance Information Systems (MIS) will be discussed with the opportunity for questions during the webinar. This will be via a webcast online at www.cgap.org 

Background on Organizer: The Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) is an independent policy and research centre. It is part of the World Bank group and its mission is to advance access to financial services for the poor.

Event Themes and Discussion Topics: The webinar will discuss the technical challenges faced by MFIs and the recent CGAP survey which found that although MFIs are increasingly using computers and software to track transactions, information systems (IS) are not always reliable or robust.
