Summary of Event:

This conference aims to bring together international development practitioners, donors, banks, investors, policymakers and other rural and agricultural finance professionals to network and share information. It focuses on leveraging public-private partnerships to develop rural and agricultural markets. The event covers five themes: expanding to new markets, tapping new sources of agricultural inputs, creating effective partnerships, making finance work and forging positive government support.

A workshop on agricultural value chain finance will follow the conference. The training, which will be held at the same venue on June 27 and June 28, will cover value chain and finance concepts as well as managing risk and identifying strategic opportunities to strengthen value chains.

Cost:

The fee to attend the event is USD 765. A reduced fee of USD 545 is available to participants who register by March 30, 2012. A combined fee of USD 1,660 is available to participants who register for both the Cracking the Nut Conference and the Agricultural Value Chain Finance Training.
