Costs: The fee for participants from India and Nepal is Rs. 22,000 (Indian Rupees) (USD 465 dollars approx.). For international participants the fee is USD 600 dollars. The fee includes course material, boarding and lodging.

Summary of event:
The broad objective of the program is to sharpen and upgrade the skills of banks’ and financial institutions’ personnel in formulating and appraising projects evolving risk assessment parameter. The focus will be on SME sector comprising manufacturing as well as services segment. Assessing entrepreneurs-behind-the project through techniques like competency assessment, FBEI, SAFI will be emphasized upon.

Background of the Sponsor:

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (Ahmedabad, Gujarat) was established in 1983 with the mission to augment the supply of new entrepreneurs through research, education & training, enterprise creation, employment generating and poverty alleviation at grassroots through developmental interventions. Education and training includes, capacity building of NGOs in Micro Enterprise Development, training of rural poor as entrepreneurs, enhancing competitiveness of SMEs through cluster development, and development of case studies on successful women entrepreneurs.

Key Event Themes:

The specific objectives of the program are to:
• Evolve the risk assessment framework covering financial, business, industry and management risks.
• Develop overall project formulation and appraisal skills of the participants, which would include areas like: market analysis, technical analysis, environment analysis and financial analysis.
• Develop working capital assessment skills.
• Help participants identify component entrepreneurs using specific behavioral tools and techniques.
• Help participants become more proactive, customer-oriented, dynamic and responsive officers, competent enough to operate in the changing scenarios in keeping with the Basel Committee Report requirements.
