Cost: Attendees may register to attend the forum for EUR 1,500 (USD 1,922) per person, with a rate of EUR 1,350 (USD 1,730) available to additional participants from the same organization. European Marketing Research Center (EMRC) members benefit from a discount of EUR 150 (USD 192).

Summary of Event: This forum highlights the need for financial solutions for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) in Africa. This year the forum will provide: a guided tour to Floriade 2012, a large horticultural exposition; business-to-business meetings; and presentation of the EMRC-Hivos Project Incubator Award. Discussion topics will include: preparing and presenting projects to potential investors; financial programmes available to cooperatives & SMEs in Africa; promoting investment in Africa; sharing best practices through examples of successful cooperatives in Africa and worldwide.

Background on Organizer: Created in 1992, EMRC is a Belgium-based nonprofit organization that seeks to promote sustainable development in Africa. EMRC members include entrepreneurs, financiers, consultants and government officials. EMRC uses forums to facilitate business networking among people from developed and developing countries.
