MICROFINANCE EVENT: European Microfinance Network (EMN) Conference; June 6, 2019; Vienna, Austria

The 16th annual European Microfinance Network (EMN) Conference will focus on topics such as affordable financial technology, artificial intelligence and innovation. Speakers will also cover how current business models and processes will need to change with the implementation of these new technologies. Additional themes include social entrepreneurship, crowdfunding platforms and “sustainable” finance.

Background on Organizer: The event is co-organized by EMN and Erste Group Bank AG. Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, EMN is a nonprofit organization that promotes microfinance as a tool to challenge social and economic exclusion in Europe. EMN has 112 members from 24 countries. Erste Group Bank, also based in Vienna, provides financial services at 2,700 branches in seven countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
