This event offers discussions of topics including microinsurance, financial technology (fintech), funding mechanisms, how to serve refugees and other strategies for enhancing financial inclusion. The program includes meetings of the European Microfinance Platform’s (e-MFP’s) Investors Action Group and its Green Inclusive & Climate Smart Finance Action Group.
On the second night of the event, the winner of the European Microfinance Award – which is themed Inclusive Finance for Food Security & Nutrition this year – will be announced. The winning institution will get a range of support including EUR 100,000 (USD 105,000), while the two runners-up each will receive EUR 10,000 (USD 10,500).
Background on Organizer: The e-MFP promotes knowledge-sharing to expand the accessibility of affordable financial services. Since its founding in 2006, the NGO has grown to serve about 130 members.
Cost: Participants can attend in person for EUR 675 (USD 713), for just one day for EUR 350 (USD 370) or online for EUR 200 (USD 211). Various discounts are on offer, including for those based in the Global South, e-MFP members, students and those who register by October 15.
