MICROFINANCE EVENT: Global Youth Economic Opportunities Summit: “The Opportunity Puzzle: Piecing It Together to Help Youth Learn, Earn and Thrive;” October 1 - 4, 2019; Washington, DC, USA

The thirteenth annual iteration of the Global Youth Economic Opportunities (YEO) Summit will focus on the following topic areas: (1) skill-building for “a changing world of work;” (2) transitioning into the workforce; (3) self-employment; and (4) the “future of work.” Additional themes include government policy; mental health; and disruptive factors, such as conflict and climate change.

Background on organizer: This summit is organized by YEO Network, a platform promoting the economic and social development of youth through on-line events, in-person events and business partnerships. YEO Network was established by Making Cents International, a US-based firm offering capacity-building services intended to promote economic and social development worldwide.

Cost: The fee to attend is USD 795 until July 15, then USD 895 until September 6, and then USD 950 until October 1, 2019. Discounted rates are offered for young professionals as well as all participants from developing countries. For an additional USD 100, attendees may register for add-on trainings “in several key areas of youth development and economic opportunities.”
