Themed “Unlocking Digital Transformation, Investments and Trade Opportunities in Africa,” this event will encourage business deals in Africa, with content covering topics such as agribusiness, manufacturing, renewable energy, financial technology (fintech), women in business, healthcare, and financing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Session titles include: (1) Doing Business in Africa; (2) Africa Trade Experts; (3) Technology Transformation & Digital Entrepreneurship in Africa; (4) Why Digitalization is Key to Trading in Africa; and (5) SMEs as Engines for Economic Growth. The agenda also includes country-specific roundtables and workshops on: (1) Disruption of Venture Capital in Africa – Shifting Tides of Private Capital in Africa; (2) Ecological Architecture and Building with Sustainable Materials; (3) Keys to Unlocking Capital Projects for Africa; and (4) Women in Business. The organizers are also holding an “Agribusiness,Trade and Investment Mission” to the Netherlands from November 1 to November 5, 2022.
Background on Organizer: Founded in 2015, Netherlands-based Changemaker International provides international development services, including “training, trade and investment advisory, organizing trade and investment fairs and missions and information sharing.” Also partnering on the event are the Kenya-based Capacity Africa Institute and the Netherlands-based Strategia Business School.
Cost: The fee to attend the event is EUR 800 (USD 800). Exhibitor tickets range in cost from EUR 1,250 (USD 1,250) to EUR 1,500 (USD 1,500). Trade mission tickets can be purchased for EUR 1,200 (USD 1,200) – including hotel, meals and ground transportation – until September 30.
