Sa-Dhan is an association of Indian community development finance institutions, including MFIs, self-help groups (SHGs), banks and cooperatives. As of 2018, its 190 members serve 29 million customers and hold an aggregate gross loan portfolio of INR 468 billion (USD 6.8 billion). For the year ending March 31, 2017, Sa-Dhan reported annual revenue of INR 25 million (USD 391,000).
MFIN is a trade association of 47 non-banking finance companies that offer microcredit in India.
FIDC is a group of NBFCs in India that seeks to maintain a code of conduct for its members while presenting a unified face of the sector. For the year ending March 2017, it reports gross income of INR 2.7 million (USD 37,000).
FIDC, MFIN, and Sa-Dhan have been recognized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as self-regulatory organizations, giving them the power to monitor their members, including the responsibility to document that they meet various standards for client protection.
