Event Name: Latin American Impact Investment Forum (Foro Latinoamericano de Inversion de Impacto)

Event Location: Hyatt Regency, Merida, Mexico
Cost: Regular admission to the forum costs USD 800. Group discounts are available and family members of registered individuals are eligible for a companion ticket that grants access to the networking activities during the forum and to an organized tour of the city of Merida at a cost of USD 150.
Summary of Event: This forum aims to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, foundations and other stakeholders to discuss the trends, opportunities and challenges facing the impact investing sector in Latin America. The forum will include keynote speeches, panel discussions, investment pitches and an optional trip to a local Mayan community on February 21. Topics to be covered include: investing for impact via early-stage ventures, empowering indigenous populations through finance, technological innovation, agricultural finance and opportunities for regional collaboration.
Background on Organizer: New Ventures Mexico (NVM) provides business and growth advisory services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that seek to make a positive social and environmental impact through their operations. NVM was launched in Mexico in 2009 as partnership between the World Resources Institute, a US-based environmental think-tank, and the Fondo Mexicano para la Conservacion de la Naturaleza, a Mexican NGO dedicated to the conservation of Mexican biodiversity and culture.
