Summary of Event:
This seminar will feature four presenters: Fermin Vivanco, Natasha Bajuk and Maria Luisa Hayem from the Inter-American Development ADD “(IDB)” Bank, a US-based multilateral finance institution that operates in Latin America and the Caribbean, and Florencia Spangaro from the Citi Foundation, a US-based international financial services conglomerate. The speakers will discuss a multi-donor approach that the Multilateral Investment Fund, a member of the IDB group, is taking to link savings to government payments such as conditional cash transfers. In addition, the panel will discuss challenges faced by government payment recipients to access financial services as well as business models that address these constraints.
