The tenth Central American and Caribbean microfinance conference is themed “Resilience and recovery of financial inclusion in the new reality.” The first morning is a forum for showcasing new technologies. The remaining two days will cover themes such as digital transformation, gender equity, client experience, serving migrants, environmentally focused microfinance, regulation and funding.
Background on Organizers: Red de Instituciones de Microfinanzas de Guatemala (REDIMIF) is an association of 16 microfinance institutions (MFIs) that together serve 140,000 clients – mostly women who live in rural areas – with a loan portfolio of USD 85 million. Red Centroamericana y del Caribe de Microfinanzas (REDCAMIF) is a network of microfinance associations serving the Dominican Republic and six Central American countries. It is based in Nicaragua, and its members serve 117 MFIs that have a total of 1.6 million clients – mostly women, roughly half of whom live in rural areas – with an aggregate loan portfolio of USD 2.8 billion as of June 2022.
Cost: The full fee to attend is USD 370, but discounts are available for those registering during January, multiples registering from the same organization and members of the organizing entities.
