Sofia will host the 10th edition of the international microfinance conference from May 31 to June 2.
More than 500 representatives of microfinance institutions from 50 countries will take part in the forum, Focus news agency reported.
The main purpose of the event is to attract the attention on the sector of microfinancing and micro crediting.
European lecturers will take part in the forum and introduce leading know-how practices in the sphere. The international Microfinance Centre (MFC) with the co-operation of Bulgarian Microfinance Alliance (BMA) organised the event.
According to BMA’s data the organisation’s portfolio is nearly 60 million leva. Polish microfinance centre’s chair Grzegorz Galusek said that Bulgaria progressed in the sphere of microfinance since the establishment of the MFC 10 years ago. A total of 106 organisations from 26 countries, including Bulgaria, are members of the centre.
