The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) signs a $5 million microfinance investment loan to XacBank of Mongolia.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) committed a $5 million loan to XacBank, Mongolia’s second largest microfinance institution. The funds will address the financing needs of the low-income marginalized population in remote areas, nomadic herders and small businesses of Mongolia. This is the EBRD’s first project in this country.
