MicroFinanza Rating (MFR) a leading rating agency that specializes in microfinance, performed 8 credit ratings in Ecuador for the Superintendence of Banks and Insurance over the 3rd quarter of 2008. Overall, MFR has carried out 96 credit and performance ratings and 18 social ratings since January 2008, including ratings of leading institutions such as FMFB Tajikistan and Afghanistan, OMRO Romania, Banco Solidario Ecuador and Fie Bolivia.
According to the ADA-KPMG “Microfinance Rating Market Outlook” MicroFinanza Rating was the 2007 market share leader amongst the rating agencies specialized in microfinance.
