The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) committed a $5 million loan to XacBank, Mongolias second largest microfinance institution. The funds will address the financing needs of the low-income marginalized population in remote areas, nomadic herders and small businesses of Mongolia. This is the EBRDs first project in this country.
